Acupuncture Enhances SSRI Treatment for Depression.

If you or someone you know struggle with depression, consider including acupuncture into the treatment plan to achieve more satisfactory and fulfilling results.

Acupuncture can be used to improve treatment outcomes for depression. Multiple systematic reviews of clinical research suggest that acupuncture is effective and significantly enhances drug-based treatment of depression. Acupuncture plus pharmaceutical treatment (SSRI's) outperforms just pharmaceutical treatment alone in multiple areas of measurement for quality of life, insomnia, and depression measures (Chan, Lo, Yang, Chen, & Lin, 2015; Dong et al., 2017).
